When should ILL be used?
Last Updated: Oct 04, 2017     Views: 8

Before submitting an ILL request, please check the Library Catalog to make sure the library does not own the item.  When the library does not have the material you need, submit an ILL request.  If Truxal owns the item and it is in use by another patron, place a hold on the item.  You will be notified by circulation staff when it becomes available.  Exceptions to this policy are:

  • if Truxal owns a book in online form but you want the book in PRINT -- please add a note to the ILL request to say so
  • if the item is marked "missing" in the library catalog
  • if the item has been sent to the bindery for repair
