Where can I find biographical information?

To find a reliable biographical article about a well-known person, try a database containing reference materials, like Credo Reference or Gale eBooks. If you're off-campus, you'll be prompted to log in with your MyAACC credentials or library card number.

To locate an entire book or eBook about an individual (biographical or autobiographical), try searching the library catalog for the person's name as "Subject" rather than a more general "All Fields" search:
Catalog search with Search Field menu set to Subject and keywords eleanor roosevelt.
For example, this search will find materials whose catalog records list Eleanor Roosevelt as a subject of the work – that is, titles about Eleanor Roosevelt, as opposed to ones that mention her more briefly or books by Roosevelt.
