Do I need to schedule an appointment with a librarian?

Great news - an appointment is really not necessary for most research questions! Assistance from a librarian is available on a drop-in basis anytime the library is open. We staff the reference desk on the first floor of the library and are available via phone, text and chat. This means you can contact us when you are ready for help. During the times when the library is closed, 24/7 research support is available via the Springshare cooperative network of academic librarians.

That said, if you anticipate needing a lengthy consultation with a librarian, we do offer appointments via the Virtual Writing Center. Another option is to email Cameron Caswell, reference librarian, to request a research consultation.
